Butch Walker 7th LP 'Afraid of Ghosts' Out TODAY, Reveals Acoustic Take of Title Track

Butch Walker‘s highly anticipated seventh full-length album Afraid Of Ghosts is releasedtoday via Dangerbird Records! Produced by fellow GRAMMY nominee Ryan Adams and recorded at Adams’ PAX AM Studios in LA, the album features friends & special guests including Bob Mould and Johnny Depp.

Walker spent a year writing the reflective Afraid of Ghosts, which was then recorded in just four days exactly one year after the passing of his father, Big Butch. With gritty hints of folk, pop and rock, the album weaves a journey through life, love, death and everything in between, highlighting Walker’s effortless skill with a melody. In addition to this talent as a songwriter, Walker is a captivating performer. In an acoustic video of the title track for Paste Magazine, Walker enchants the viewer using just a few piano chords and his distinctive voice. The album is now streaming in full with Billboard Magazine.

Walker recently wrapped a US tour supporting Ryan Adams with four triumphant, sold-out shows at Carnegie Hall and Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, where he demonstrated his talent and charisma. PopDose called Butch’s set “an appealingly stripped down set of emotional, nostalgia-tinged pop” and Performer Mag called Adams & Walker “perfect touring companion(s).” Exclaim lauded Walker’s “lighthearted approach to heavy, emotional music.”

It is this bold & tender spirit, which Walker has shown to crowds across the country, which undeniably buoys Afraid of Ghosts
